Diese Verordnung regelt die Anforderungen an Zusatzstoffe und den Zusatzstoffen gleichgestellte Stoffe, die Lebensmitteln zu technologischen Zwecken zugesetzt werden, sowie an Trägerstoffe und Trägerlösungsmittel für diese Zusatzstoffe.
Die in Anlage 1 aufgeführten Stoffe sind den Zusatzstoffen gleichgestellt.
(1) Die in Anlage 2 aufgeführten Zusatzstoffe müssen den dort festgelegten Reinheitsanforderungen entsprechen.

Die in Anlage 4 aufgeführten Zusatzstoffe sind unter den dort festgelegten Bedingungen als Trägerstoffe oder Trägerlösungsmittel für die in Anlage 2 aufgeführten Zusatzstoffe zugelassen.
(1) Zusatzstoffe, die den in § 3 festgesetzten Reinheitsanforderungen nicht entsprechen, dürfen bei dem gewerbsmäßigen Herstellen und Behandeln von Lebensmitteln, die dazu bestimmt sind, in den Verkehr gebracht zu werden, nicht verwendet werden.
(2) Essigsäure (E 260) darf zum Herstellen und Behandeln von Lebensmitteln nicht an Verbraucher abgegeben werden, wenn sie in 100 Gramm mehr als 25 Gramm wasserfreie Essigsäure enthält.
(3) Die Farbstoffe Amaranth (E 123), Erythrosin (E 127), Rot 2 G (E 128), Braun FK (E 154), Annatto, Bixin, Norbixin (E 160b), Canthaxanthin (E 161g), Aluminium (E 173) und Litholrubin BK (E 180) dürfen nicht an Verbraucher abgegeben werden.
(4) Nitrite dürfen in Betriebe, die Lebensmittel herstellen, weder verbracht noch in diesen Betrieben aufbewahrt oder gelagert werden. Dieses Verbot gilt nicht für das Verbringen von Natrium- und Kaliumnitrit in Betriebe, die Mischungen aus Natrium- oder Kaliumnitrit mit Kochsalz, jodiertem Kochsalz oder Kochsalzersatz (Nitritpökelsalz) herstellen.
(5) Wer Nitritpökelsalz herstellen will, bedarf der Genehmigung der zuständigen Behörde. Die Genehmigung darf nur erteilt werden, wenn der Antragsteller
zuverlässig ist und
über die erforderlichen Einrichtungen verfügt.
Die Genehmigung ist mit der Auflage zu verbinden, daß der Antragsteller
jede Charge mit einer laufenden Nummer zu versehen und diese Nummer auf den Packungen, Behältnissen oder sonstigen Umhüllungen, in denen Nitritpökelsalz in den Verkehr gebracht wird, anzubringen hat,
jede Charge daraufhin zu überprüfen hat oder überprüfen läßt, ob das hergestellte Nitritpökelsalz den Reinheitsanforderungen entspricht,
Aufzeichnungen über die Ergebnisse der Kontrolluntersuchungen nach Nummer 2 zu machen und diese Aufzeichnungen mindestens zwei Jahre lang aufzubewahren hat.
Nitritpökelsalz darf nur in Räumen hergestellt werden, die ausschließlich zu diesem Zweck bestimmt sind.
(6) Ethylenoxid darf zur Sterilisierung von Zusatzstoffen nicht verwendet werden.

(3) Die in Artikel 22 Absatz 1 der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1333/2008 des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates vom 16. Dezember 2008 über Lebensmittelzusatzstoffe (ABl. L 354 vom 31.12.2008, S. 16) bezeichneten Stoffe oder Stoffgemische dürfen gewerbsmäßig nur in den Verkehr gebraucht sowie in Lebensmittelbetrieben nur aufbewahrt, gelagert und gebracht werden, wenn die Packungen, Behältnisse und sonstigen Umhüllungen die Gefahrensymbole, die Gefahrenbezeichnungen, die Hinweise auf die besonderen Gefahren und die Sicherheitsratschläge nach der Gefahrstoffverordnung, soweit dort solche Warnhinweise oder warnende Aufmachungen für in Anlage 2 aufgeführte Stoffe vorgesehen sind, aufweisen.

(1) Zusatzstoffe, die vor dem 21. Oktober 2006 nach den Vorschriften dieser Verordnung hergestellt, behandelt und gekennzeichnet worden sind, dürfen bis zum Abbau der Vorräte in den Verkehr gebracht werden.
(2) Zusatzstoffe, die bis zum Ablauf des 14. August 2008 nach den bis zum 14. Februar 2008 geltenden Vorschriften gekennzeichnet und in den Verkehr gebracht sein werden, dürfen bis zum Abbau der Vorräte noch weiter in den Verkehr gebracht werden.
(1) Nach § 58 Abs. 1 Nr. 18, Abs. 4 bis 6 des Lebensmittel- und Futtermittelgesetzbuches wird bestraft, wer vorsätzlich oder fahrlässig
entgegen § 5 Abs. 2 oder 3 Essigsäure oder einen dort genannten Farbstoff abgibt,
entgegen § 5 Abs. 5 Satz 4 Nitritpökelsalz herstellt oder
entgegen § 5 Abs. 6 Ethylenoxid verwendet.
(2) Nach § 59 Abs. 1 Nr. 21 Buchstabe a des Lebensmittel- und Futtermittelgesetzbuches wird bestraft, wer
entgegen § 5 Abs. 4 Satz 1 Nitrite in einen dort bezeichneten Betrieb verbringt oder dort aufbewahrt oder lagert,
ohne Genehmigung nach § 5 Abs. 5 Satz 1 Nitritpökelsalz herstellt oder
entgegen § 6 Abs. 3 dort aufgeführte Stoffe oder Stoffgemische gewerbsmäßig in den Verkehr bringt, aufbewahrt, lagert oder gebraucht.
(3) Nach § 59 Abs. 1 Nr. 21 Buchstabe a des Lebensmittel- und Futtermittelgesetzbuches wird bestraft, wer entgegen § 5 Abs. 1 dort bezeichnete Stoffe verwendet.
(4) Wer eine in Absatz 2 oder 3 bezeichnete Handlung fahrlässig begeht, handelt nach § 60 Abs. 1 des Lebensmittel- und Futtermittelgesetzbuches ordnungswidrig.
(5) Ordnungswidrig im Sinne des § 60 Absatz 4 Nummer 2 Buchstabe a des Lebensmittel- und Futtermittelgesetzbuches handelt, wer vorsätzlich oder fahrlässig entgegen Artikel 21 Absatz 1 Satz 1 in Verbindung mit Artikel 22 Absatz 1, 2 oder Absatz 3 oder entgegen Artikel 23 Absatz 1 der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1333/2008 des Europäischen Parlamentes und des Rates vom 16. Dezember 2008 über Lebensmittelzusatzstoffe (ABl. L 354 vom 31.12.2008, S. 16) einen Lebensmittelzusatzstoff in den Verkehr bringt.

GitHub ist ein Verzeichnis, das Programmierer zum Entwickeln und Veröffentlichen oft freier Software-Projekte nutzen können. GitHub basiert auf dem Versions-Management-System Git.
Mit Git können Entwickler von verschiedenen Orten aus gemeinsam an einem Software-Projekt arbeiten. Einzelne Arbeitsschritte können nachverfolgt und die Arbeit unterschiedlicher Menschen zu einem Gesamtwerk zusammengefügt werden.
Die Ausarbeitung von Gesetzen ähnelt bei genauerem Hinsehen der Entwicklung von Software. Die Nutzung eines Versions-Management-Systems kann den Entstehungsprozess von Gesetzen transparenter und im Rückblick nachvollziehbar machen ( TED-Talk zum Thema).
